18 Karat Gold — yellow, white, and rose — is made from 75% gold and 25% other alloys to give it its signature strength and color. While 24k is pure gold, it lacks the strength a piece made for daily wear requires.
22k Yellow Gold is our custom alloy used to make gold granulation and other one-of-a-kind high karat pieces. This color is rich in appearance and more dense than 18k gold.
Platinum is a durable, grayish and very hefty metal. Its density gives it strength and makes it one of the most difficult metals to work with — however once finished, a piece will hold its shine for much longer. It is a popular choice for engagement rings as its color will not affect a stone's perceived color.
Silver — 99.999% fine silver, while sterling silver is .925 silver mixed with copper for durability.
Store your jewelry carefully in individual spots and avoid having metal or stones clash against each other. This may cause unnecessary stress on gems and may cause stones to become dull or metal to scratch.
Stones have varying hardnesses — for example, pearls have a Mohs hardness of 2.5 while diamond is a perfect 10. As a precaution keep gemstone jewelry (especially color stones like emerald, amethyst, tourmaline, turquoise) separate and avoid contact with diamond jewelry.
